KBS 2TV's 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' Marks the Return of Thursday Dramas After Six Years
On the 25th, a production presentation for KBS 2TV's new mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' was held at The Saint in Sindorim-dong, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Park Sung-woong, Lee Soo-kyung, Lee Seo-hwan, Nam Kwon-ah, Lee Jin-woo, Choi Gyu-ri, and director Choi Yeon-soo. 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' is a family drama about the urban family of Seong Tae-hoon, who struggles to return to Seoul after being dropped into the pristine yet fierce area of Yeonliri.
In 2024, Park Sung-woong and Lee Soo-kyung, who previously worked together in the KBS drama 'Dog Sound', reunite as a couple in this series. Park commented, "In the previous project, we didn't have many scenes together, but in this one, we are always together. I'm relatively quiet, but Soo-kyung is bright and lively, so the balance was good."
Lee also shared her thoughts on reuniting with Park, saying, "I felt comfortable," with a smile. She added, "I was happy to work with him in 'Dog Sound', and I'm glad to meet again. Thanks to him, filming was enjoyable throughout."
Debuting as an idol in 2019, Lee Jin-woo lands his first leading role in seven years with this project. He shared, "I felt a lot of pressure as it was my first leading role, and I thought I had to do well. But thanks to the senior actors and the director taking good care of me, I was able to finish the project safely," he laughed.
Choi added, "It includes realistic family portrayals like the so-called 'Gold Spoon Family', and there are more dopamine-triggering developments than expected. It covers a wide range of family forms, including bromance and romance. You won't get tired of watching it every day. Please show a lot of interest."
'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' premieres on the 26th at 9:50 PM.
