Comedian Bae Yeon-jeong Opens Up About Overcoming Major Health Crisis with Husband's Support
On the October 25th episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Perfect Life,' Bae Yeon-jeong and her husband Kim Do-man appeared to share their daily life. The episode highlighted Kim's deep love for Bae and his devotion to her mother, which touched many hearts.
Bae Yeon-jeong surprised everyone by sharing her past health scare on 'Perfect Life.' She recounted, "In 2002, three tumors were discovered in my pancreas. I had to have 13cm of my 18cm pancreas removed." She added, "After the surgery, eating caused excruciating pain, and my husband carried me around for four years," expressing gratitude for her husband's support during such a difficult time.
Kim's love for his wife didn't stop there. The couple was shown enjoying horseback riding together. When MC Hyun-young asked, "When did you start this?" Bae explained, "After the pancreatic surgery, I had physical therapy for my bent back, but my husband sought out horseback riding as a new rehabilitation method." Their journey from hardship to enjoying a shared hobby was truly moving.
Hyun-young asked, "Wasn't it hard for you after your mother-in-law passed away?" Kim replied, "I wish I could have done more for her and made her more comfortable," adding, "If it weren't for her, my wife wouldn't be by my side," showcasing his romantic side.
