Jaejoong and Se-yeon's Heart-Pounding Romance Captivates Viewers
In the episode aired on the 30th, the ninth episode of 'Bad Memory Eraser' (directed by Yoon Ji-hoon, Kim Na-young/written by Jung Eun-young/produced by Studio Jidam, Chorokbaem Media, Kim Jong-hak Production), the intense hug between Kim Jaejoong and Jin Se-yeon heightened the excitement to its peak. Jin Se-yeon's attempt to confirm her feelings for Kim Jaejoong has left viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the direction of their romance.
In this episode, Lee Gun (played by Kim Jaejoong) confronts Joo Yeon (played by Jin Se-yeon), asking, "Did you know? Do you know the details of my accident?" Despite Joo Yeon's concern over Lee Gun's sudden pain, he tearfully questions, "Why is everyone trying to bury it? Is there something I shouldn't remember?" Eventually, Lee Gun explodes in frustration, demanding, "What is everyone hiding from me?" Joo Yeon, struggling, lies, saying, "It's for your sake," and insists there's nothing being hidden. Lee Gun undergoes a brain scan, and Joo Yeon confides in Professor Han Dong-chil (played by Kim Kwang-kyu), expressing her guilt, "It feels like it's all my fault," evoking sympathy.
Lee Shin (played by Lee Jong-won) is tormented after being threatened by Hong Jun-man (played by Han Sang-jin) and ends up getting beaten in a bar. Joo Yeon, witnessing Lee Shin's beating, is thrown into a panic by a sudden memory of her father. At that moment, a tennis ball flies in, and Lee Gun appears with a tennis racket, saying, "Singles against doubles isn't in the spirit of sportsmanship," surprising everyone. After a fierce fight, Lee Shin, saved by his brother Lee Gun, shows a long-awaited smile, saying, "Why did you come so late?"
As Lee Gun helps Lee Shin, another man charges at Joo Yeon, and Lee Gun quickly shields her, making her heart race. However, the fleeing attackers reveal, "He asked us to hit him," raising questions about what happened to Lee Shin.
Back home, Joo Yeon applies ointment to Lee Gun's hand wound while he sleeps, unable to control her racing heart, wondering, "Why am I like this all day?" The next day, Lee Gun's jealousy flares up as he sees Lee Shin and Joo Yeon whispering closely together.
The following day, Lee Gun arranges a dinner with Joo Yeon under the pretext of a company dinner. Excited, Joo Yeon hurries out, but ends up meeting Lee Shin instead, who offers to give her Lee Gun's emotional diary. Lee Gun is surprised when Sae-yan (played by Yang Hye-ji) shows up instead of Joo Yeon. Sae-yan asks about Lee Gun's first love, Joo Yeon, and shares her own fears about meeting her first love. Lee Gun reassures her, "Even if she doesn't remember me, even if she doesn't like me, even if I have to go back to before I found her, I will still look for her. Gladly." Sae-yan, listening in a daze, remarks, "This man is tempting," and adds, "He's very charming. If I were his first love, I wouldn't have hurt him like that," drawing attention to her background.
Joo Yeon, disappointed to find that the emotional diary is just a scheduler, can't focus on dinner with Lee Shin, frequently checking the time. Lee Shin, noticing this, brings up Lee Gun's past as an athlete. Seeing Joo Yeon's interest, Lee Shin asks, "Do you like my brother? Your eyes light up whenever his name is mentioned." Flustered, Joo Yeon denies it, saying, "It's natural interest as a researcher," but Lee Shin insists, "You know you're not really his first love," trying to cut off their relationship. Joo Yeon, though agreeing, can't hide her complicated feelings.
That night, Joo Yeon buys the jelly Lee Gun liked as a child and drinks with him. As they open a beer can, the foam spills, leading to an unexpected intimate moment, raising the excitement. Falling asleep on the sofa, Joo Yeon wakes up to find Lee Gun's face close to hers, startling her. She mutters, "He's handsome," and unconsciously touches his cheek, only to be caught by Lee Gun, leading to a humorous moment.
Joo Yeon's heart continues to race uncontrollably. While erasing graffiti from Si-on's (played by Lee Ru-bi) desk, she sees Lee Gun running towards her, causing her heart to pound. Confused, she thinks, "It can't be. It shouldn't be. The person he sees isn't the real me." Determined, she decides, "I need to confirm. I need to ask my heart," and runs to hug Lee Gun, exploding the excitement. As Lee Gun slowly approaches her face, the double dose of excitement leaves viewers wondering if a mutual romance will finally unfold.
