A stubborn husband who gaslights his wife suffering from severe depression has come to light.

On the 29th, the third episode of JTBC's variety show 'Divorce Consideration Camp' aired, revealing the story of the 'God Life Couple,' Hwang Bora and Go San, who entered the camp for 55 hours to restore their relationship.

In this episode, Hwang Bora and Go San, who have been married for nine years and have two children, underwent a household investigation for the third time. The husband started his day at 4:40 AM, listening to classical music, studying English, and reading self-improvement books, leading a diligent morning routine. This built up his dissatisfaction with his wife, who quickly gave up and became lethargic.

However, from the wife's perspective, the husband was gaslighting both his children and his wife. He forced them to live according to the contents of his books, pressured them to memorize English words, and imposed strict rules on money management, dieting, reading, and blogging. He even monitored his wife through a home camera for the sake of the children and nagged her.

He belittled his wife by saying, "Where are the moms who just play around? Don't all the moms around you work?" and insisted, "Even moms who are better off than us are working moms. They raise their children while working. We are young, so we should be even more active."

In a subsequent psychological counseling session, the wife was diagnosed with severe depression. She tearfully confessed that she lost her will to live after her only family, her grandmother, passed away four years ago. She endured it because she didn't want her children to grow up without a mother like she did.

However, the husband did not believe in his wife's depressive state. He showed distrust, saying, "I think she can overcome it." He even laughed during a couple's psychodrama, empathizing with the negative emotions, and stubbornly held his ground despite being told, "She has depression because of you."

Meanwhile, the 'God Life Couple' had previously appeared on 'Ask Anything.' At that time, the husband revealed that he is currently working in the furniture industry and had previously managed the celebrity couple Eugene and Ki Tae-young for ten years.
