Heartwarming Conclusion: 'Cat Custody War' Ends with a Happy Reunion for Yoon Doo-joon and Kim Seul-gi

The 'Cat Custody War' between Yoon Doo-joon and Kim Seul-gi has reached a heartwarming conclusion with a happy ending.

In the episode aired on the 17th of tvN's drama 'Cat Custody War,' Do-young (played by Yoon Doo-joon) and Yoo-jin (played by Kim Seul-gi) resolved their misunderstandings and confirmed their feelings for each other.

The couple, married for five years, faced a divorce crisis despite their happy days. While their divorce agreement was swift, neither was willing to easily give up custody of their beloved cat, Nori, who had come into their lives like a gift during their struggles with infertility.

In the event of a divorce, the custody of a pet often hinges on 'who contributed more to its care and who practically took care of the cat.' Do-young and Yoo-jin debated who could provide a better environment for Nori and to whom the cat was more attached, but it was difficult to determine.

Amidst their battle, an unexpected crisis arose when Nori, who had been on a hunger strike, actually ran away. The couple rushed to the place where they first met Nori and later found the cat waiting for them at their shared home, bringing tears of relief.

During this ordeal, Do-young recalled Yoo-jin's determination to not give up on having a child, even administering injections herself. Yoo-jin realized that despite Do-young's cat allergy, he had promised, "I'll be Nori's dad forever." Ultimately, Do-young decided to grant custody to Yoo-jin, acknowledging her sacrifices, including requesting a department transfer for Nori's sake.

Do-young reignited their love by giving Yoo-jin a heartfelt letter, saying, "Even if this time feels like an indelible stain, it will become a memory someday. Until then, I'll be by your side." Yoo-jin, realizing her feelings for Do-young, broke down in tears.

On the last day of their divorce contemplation period, Yoo-jin confessed to Do-young, "Maybe it's because my mom passed away early, but I've always wanted to be a mom. It took me a long time to accept that I couldn't be one. I feared you'd leave me if we couldn't have a child. I think I felt that way because I love you so much. I want to try again. Please give me a chance." Confronted with their honest emotions, the couple embraced passionately, painting a rosy happy ending.
