Former baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun recently shared a surprising revelation about Kyuhyun's unique habit of meticulously recording details on his phone. During a conversation with TVXQ's Changmin, Hwang was taken aback to learn that Kyuhyun had lost the phone containing his personal records.

On the May 5th episode of the YouTube show 'Dukbap House,' hosted by Changmin, a video titled 'SM's Golden Maknae Arrives Like a Children's Day Gift [Dukbap House Episode 2.1 Hwang Jae-gyun]' was released. In this episode, Changmin and guest Hwang Jae-gyun engaged in a conversation while making dumplings.

The two reminisced about their first meeting. Hwang recalled being introduced to Changmin by Kyuhyun during his time with the Lotte Giants in Busan. "When I was in Busan with Lotte, Changmin and Kyuhyun came down. I already knew Kyuhyun, and that's when I met Changmin. The three of us got drunk and played 'rock-paper-scissors,' with the loser having to go into the sea," Hwang recounted. Changmin added, "At that time, '1 Night 2 Days' was all the rage."

Hwang continued, "Kyuhyun lost the game and went into the sea." Changmin remarked, "If you find him, he probably still has that video." Hwang replied, "Does Kyuhyun have it? I don't." Changmin then revealed, "He's kind of a weirdo. He records everything like 'Hwang Jae-gyun, Shim Changmin, Cho Kyuhyun drinking at a Busan pub. How many bottles of soju.'" Hwang was shocked, saying, "He writes it down? That's really weird."

Changmin further revealed, "He recently lost that phone while filming." Hwang was surprised, asking, "Kyuhyun did? Really?" Changmin joked, "It's a good thing he lost it overseas, imagine if it was in Korea," to which Hwang added, "Kyuhyun could have been in big trouble."

Hwang Jae-gyun began his professional baseball career in 2006, playing for teams like the Heroes, Lotte Giants, and San Francisco Giants before retiring with KT Wiz in 2025. He married T-ara's Jiyeon in 2022 but divorced in October 2024. After retiring as a player, he signed an exclusive contract with SM C&C and is now active as a broadcaster.
