Chae Jong-hyeop “I’m honored by the undeserved love”

Actor Chae Jong-hyeop expressed his thoughts about the popularity of Hoopsama.

The production presentation for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Is it a Coincidence?' (written by Park G-ro/directed by Song Hyun-wook and Jeong Gwang) was held live online on the 16th. Actors Kim So-hyun, Chae Jong-hyeop, Yoon Ji-on, Kim Da-som, and director Song Hyun-wook attended the production presentation.

‘Is it a Coincidence?’ is a romantic drama that summons memories of one’s first love, where a dull and clumsy first love meets ‘by chance’ after 10 years, becomes intertwined like ‘fate’, and falls in love again. It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name.

Chae Jong-hyeop plays the role of Kang Hoo-young, a financial planner with a handsome appearance and a brilliant mind. He is solid in both work and love. When he returns to Korea after 10 years, he reunites with his first love as if by chance, and faces a wave of strong emotions.

He said, "I'm excited because it's a work I've been waiting for a long time, and I feel good." He said, "The reason I chose the drama was because the script was fun."

Chae Jong-hyeop has recently enjoyed a lot of popularity through the hit Japanese TBS drama 'I Love You' and his role as 'Hypsama'. He expressed his gratitude at this event, saying, “I am honored by the undeserved love.”

Meanwhile, ‘Is it a Coincidence?’ will be aired for the first time on the 22nd at 8:40 PM.
