Singer Kim Yang will also appear on stage at her father's funeral.

On the 13th, Yang Kim will appear on the live broadcast of the finals of the MBN trot contest program ‘King of Active Singer’. Previously, Ms. Kim's father passed away from a chronic illness on the 11th.

The mortuary was set up in room 6 of the Eunpyeong St. Mary's Funeral Home in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. on the 14th.

Yang Kim is also scheduled to appear in the second round of the 'King of Active Singer' finals, which will be held today. Kim Dae-jung, CEO of Uno FM Entertainment, and Kim Yang's older brother, will hold the resident position instead.

Previously, Yang Kim expressed her filial piety by saying, "I have been a singer for 17 years, but I have never sung a song that my parents like. They look at the 'active king of singers' with wide eyes. I want to show them singing on stage."

Yang Kim debuted in 2008 with ‘Uji Mara’. In 2019, she appeared on the general programming channel TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot Tomorrow'.
