TVING's original series 'Lee Jae, I'm Dying Soon' Part 1, which depicts the cruel punishment that begins only after death, ranked first in the number of weekly paid subscription subscribers for two consecutive weeks immediately after its release on the 15th, and was released on OTT (online video streaming) within a week of its release. It is receiving a warm response by entering the top 10 in more than 43 countries around the world on Flix Patrol, an aggregation site (service). Therefore, as interest in Part 2 is also increasing, we looked back on the life Choi Lee-jae experienced before entering the second act of Judgment of Death.

Choi Lee-jae (played by Seo In-guk), a 7-year job seeker, not only lost all his money through fraud, but also gave up on life due to a series of misfortunes, such as failing in an interview, being kicked out of his house, and breaking up with his girlfriend. Choi Lee-jae's angry despair at the end of his life left him bitter. Seo In-guk, who played the role of Choi Yi-jae, also explained that it was the most memorable feeling in Part 1, saying, “I think Choi Yi-jae’s despair was the greatest when he went up to the rooftop.”

It was a hellish life, but the sin of abandoning my life with my own hands was heavy. Death (played by Park So-dam), a transcendent being, gave Choi Yi-jae a terrible punishment of suffering 12 different deaths, and also made an unexpected offer to let him live in that body for the rest of his life if he survived even one of them. The first reincarnation, third-generation chaebol Jin-tae Park (played by Choi Si-won), instilled the will for a new life, while the second reincarnation, exciting sports athlete Song Jae-seop (played by Seong-hoon), made him feel helpless in the face of death.

The life of high school student Kwon Hyuk-soo (Kim Kang-hoon) raised awareness that even if he avoids death, he can face another crisis at any time. Through the life of solver Lee Joo-hoon (played by Jang Seung-jo), he acquired a huge amount of money and even had a decisive opportunity to change the game of death.

Through the lives of aspiring martial arts athlete Cho Tae-sang (played by Lee Jae-wook), his newborn baby, and model Jang Geon-woo (played by Lee Do-hyun), Choi Lee-jae learns about the emotions of those left behind after death. Choi Lee-jae, who was reincarnated as Jo Tae-sang, keenly felt the feelings of a parent who lost a child through another death. The baby who died without any memory made me realize not only the principle of life that nothing is taken for granted in this world, but also that a day carelessly passed by was the end of a life in which someone had no choice.

Choi Lee-jae, who was reincarnated as Jang Geon-woo, began to feel the weight of death after seeing the wounds of his mother (Kim Mi-kyung) and girlfriend Lee Ji-su (Go Yoon-jeong), who will have to live with the burden of their lives due to their own foolish choices. . An unstable day with no way of knowing when, where, or how it would end made Choi Yi-jae afraid.

In particular, at the end of episode 4, the end of Part 1, Choi Lee-jae burst into tears when his girlfriend Lee Ji-su, whom he met again in the body of Jang Geon-woo, was murdered in front of his eyes by the hands of Park Tae-woo (played by Kim Ji-hoon). Park Tae-woo soon also harmed Jang Geon-woo, and Choi Lee-jae, who witnessed his girlfriend's death, was filled with revenge. He rebelled not only against Taewoo Park but also against death, a transcendent being. As Choi Lee-jae, who has fully awakened, points his gun at the head of death, the sense of crisis is heightened, and curiosity is rising about how the death game everyone is waiting for will end.

TVING's original series 'Lee Jae, I'm Dying Soon' Part 2, which will continue Seo In-guk and Park So-dam's death game, will be released in full on January 5th.
