‘Sweet Home 2’ Kim Moo-yeol “Watched the ending of Season 1 while falling asleep, got cast, and binge-watched again.”

Actor Kim Moo-yeol expressed his feelings about joining Season 2 of ‘Sweet Home’.

On the 30th, a production presentation for Season 2 of the Netflix original series 'Sweet Home' was held at S-Factory in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Directors Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Go Min-si, Jinyoung, Yoo Oh-seong, Kim Moo-yeol, and Lee Eung-bok attended the event.

'Sweet Home 2' is a world where desire becomes a monster, Hyun-soo and the Green Home survivors who leave Green Home and fight each other to survive in a new home, as well as the appearance of another being and unknown mysterious phenomena. A work depicting new desires, events, and struggles.

When asked if he felt the popularity of season 1, Song Kang said, "It felt so real. I was grateful." Lee Si-young expressed her gratitude, saying, "I was grateful for receiving so much undeserved love. I was able to film season 2 well with a lot of love, interest, and anticipation." Go Min-si expressed her gratitude, saying, “I was able to act while keeping the character of Eun-yu in my heart for four years.”

Jinyoung, who newly joined season 2, said, "I really enjoyed season 1. It was an honor just to be a part of it. Considering the scale and directing, I filmed it with the thought that it was bound to be successful." Yoo Oh-seong added, “I was grateful, and I thought I would do well.” Kim Moo-yeol said, "I stayed up all night watching Season 1. After hearing the news about the casting for Season 2, I rewatched Season 1, but I couldn't remember the ending. At the time, I watched the latter part while dozing off, so I binge-watched it again."

Director Lee Eung-bok said, "When I did Season 1, I had no idea that I would do Seasons 2 and 3. I received enthusiastic response and encouragement, so I decided to produce Season 3 and Season 3 simultaneously. It was difficult at first, but I gathered stories that were not resolved in the original and negotiated with the original author. “We created a framework through the process,” he said.

He added, "Season 1 is a story about being trapped inside and having a hard time, and Season 2 is a story about going outside and having a hard time. I focused on the charm of each character fighting against monsters. I tried to make up for a lot of the shortcomings."

‘Sweet Home 2’ will be released on December 1.
