Jeong Seong-il, if you keep doing this, Song Hye-kyo’s heart will be shaken too.

In 'The Glory', Jeong Seong-il, who plays the role of Ha Do-yeong, who is caught up in a whirlwind of revenge after encountering his wife Yeon-jin's (Lim Ji-yeon) Pandora's box due to Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo), who has become a part of his daily life, has a neat yet strange atmosphere. With his deep eyes, he exudes a middle-aged sexy charm, creating an irreplaceable character and causing 'Doyoung's pain'.
'The Glory', which was released worldwide on Friday, December 30th last year, is a work that depicts the story of a woman whose soul was broken by violence in her childhood, who risks her entire life to carefully prepare a cruel revenge, and the story of those who fall into the vortex. It is predicted to be an unusual box office success, ranking 3rd in the non-English TV category just 3 days after its release and ranking in the top 10 in 19 service countries.
Jeong Seong-il perfectly portrays the character Doyoung, both internally and externally, with wealth and power in his hands and a seemingly peaceful family as a loving father and husband, but with a sharp and cynical personality. The character described as 'nice dog XX' in the play is packaged in a tight-fitting suit and a gentleness that does not disturb any remaining superficiality, making it even more appealing to the viewers.
Jeong Seong-il created his own Ha Do-young by drawing a completely contrasting picture style, such as his unique attractive low-pitched voice, calm way of speaking, and a warm smile only for his daughter.
In particular, the scene where he reunites with Dong-eun at the origin and looks at her intently as if he is fascinated by her, created a strange atmosphere with Jeong Seong-il's deep eyes and facial expressions without any special lines, and the two people's chemistry was exuded. The dramatic narrative of Dong-eun approaching for revenge and Do-yeong being caught in a trap, despite their mutually toxic relationship, elicits over-immersion as if watching a scene from a melodrama.
With his solid acting experience accumulated over a long period of time on stage in plays and musicals, he chose characters with strong impact in each work he appeared in, including the dramas 'Thinking of the Moon When Flowers Bloom', 'Bad and Crazy', 'Secret Forest 2', and 'Our Blues'. As seen. Through 'The Glory', actor Jeong Sung-il is drawing attention with his powerful and captivating character.
As Dong-eun's revenge on Yeon-jin progresses, interest in Do-young and Jeong Seong-il, who played him, grows, raising expectations for his performance in Part 2. Meanwhile, Part 1 of ‘The Glory’ can be watched on Netflix, and Part 2 is scheduled to be released in March.
