Lee Soo-young “I lost all my assets through fraud”

Singer Lee Soo-young revealed that she was scammed and lost all her money before getting married.

Singers Kim Hyun-jung, Lee Soo-young, and Chae-yeon, who were active in the 2000s, appeared as guests on the SBS entertainment show 'Single For Men', which aired on the 14th, as a 'Y2K reunion' special.

On this day, Lee Soo-young said that she has been married for 14 years and that her “child is in the 6th grade.” When asked about her love story with her husband, Lee Soo-young revealed that they met fatefully, saying, "If I were to get married, a man would fall from the sky."

Lee Soo-young explained, "When I got married, I was scammed on a huge scale. It was a very difficult time. I was in a situation where I had to work hard to pay off my debt because I had several billion won in debt." At that time, Lee Soo-young squandered all of her assets through fraud, suffered panic attacks due to debt, and halted her activities.

Lee Soo-young has now paid off all of her debt. She said, "I met my husband through a sister I knew at the church I attend. My husband, who had been paying attention to me, asked me to introduce him to the sister. My husband asked me to marry him, so I disclosed my debt. At the time, I gave my husband an opportunity to run away. “I explained the situation, even showing my bankbook. At the time, my husband was an ordinary office worker, so I lost contact with him for five days,” she said.

He added, "It was a difficult situation for my office worker husband to hug easily, and I fully understood his position. I received a call five days later, and he proposed right away."
