‘Boys Planet’ “100% viewer vote”

'Boys Planet' PD Kim Shin-young was confident about the fairness of voting.

On the morning of the 2nd, the online production presentation of Mnet's audition program 'Boys Planet' was held, and PD Go Jeong-kyung, Kim Shin-young, Baek Gu-young, Solji, Lee Seok-hoon, Lim Han-byul, and Choi Young-jun attended the event.

On this day, PD Kim said, "This time, we have introduced a system that calculates the voting process and results from an independent external organization. This is to ensure fairness by separating the production team from the voting calculation process."

He continued, “Unlike ‘Girls Planet,’ the debut group is decided 100% by viewer votes. Last season, voting was conducted in three groups: Korea, China, and Japan, but this time, voting is conducted without group distinction. “To that extent, viewers’ votes have a decisive impact,” he explained.

‘Boys Planet’ is an audition where K Group, made up of Korean trainees, and G Group, made up of global trainees, come together to challenge themselves to debut as a global K-pop boy group. It is a follow-up program to ‘Girls Planet 999: Girls’ Battle’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘Girls Planet’), which created the girl group Kepler.
