Chef Kim Si-hyun's Culinary Journey in Tongyeong on 'I Live Alone'

The upcoming episode of MBC's 'I Live Alone' will feature Chef Kim Si-hyun's culinary adventure in Tongyeong, South Korea.

Airing on the 3rd, the show will showcase Chef Kim Si-hyun, known as the 'Black and White Chef 2', as he embarks on a spring journey to explore the local herbs and fresh seafood of Tongyeong.

Chef Kim, eager to welcome spring, sets out early to the traditional markets of Tongyeong, a place he describes as experiencing spring two weeks earlier than other regions. He arrives before dawn to discover the freshest spring herbs and seafood.

At the market, Chef Kim is captivated by the variety of herbs, many of which are handpicked by local grandmothers. He also fills his hands with fresh seafood, rare finds in Seoul. The episode will also reveal Chef Kim enjoying a hearty breakfast of Tongyeong's signature dish, blowfish soup, sharing his secret ingredient that enhances its umami flavor.

Additionally, viewers will see Chef Kim reunite with his culinary mentor in Tongyeong, a relationship that has spanned seven years. The identity of his mentor and the story behind their connection will be unveiled.
