‘Mr. Trot 2’ is determined by the size of the fandom.

TenAsia reporter Ryu Ye-ji takes a proper look at the entertainment industry incidents and accidents that are attracting the most attention.
The power of text voting is beyond imagination. The more popular contestant, not the more skilled contestant, has the upper hand. In fact, the judges' scores were no longer needed.
In the TV Chosun entertainment program 'Mr. Trot 2 - The Beginning of a New Legend', which aired on the afternoon of the 9th, the TOP 10 (Na Sang-do - Choo Hyuk-jin - Choi Su-ho - Park Ji-hyun - Song Min-jun - Jinwook - Jin Hae-seong - Ahn Seong-hoon - Song Do-hyeon - Park Seong-on towards the final TOP 7) )'s semifinals were held.

The scores of the masters, who are music-related experts, seemed virtually unrelated to advancing to the finals. This is because viewer votes accounted for an unexpectedly large proportion of the vote.

On the other hand, there are participants who miraculously survived thanks to their enormous fandom. Jin Hae-seong rose from 10th to the final 4th place in the total master score rankings. Jin Hae-seong, who has already won other audition programs, is building a solid fandom. Thanks to our strong fans, we managed to land in the top 7.

It is clearly difficult to come up with a ranking that satisfies everyone. This is especially true because the more active participants there are, the more different their individual standards are. However, there is a need to produce a top-tier cast that most people agree with. Only then will the recognized participants feel good and the authority of ‘Mr. Trot 2’ will be maintained.
‘Text voting’ should not play the most important role in determining successful and rejected candidates. 'Mr. Trot 2' is a broadcast that selects new legends who will be reborn as true Trot singers. Wouldn’t there be a need to refocus the audition program so that it doesn’t degenerate into a place for popularity voting?
