SEVENTEEN's S.Coups and Mingyu Bring 'HYPE VIBES' to Life at Fan Party

SEVENTEEN's special unit S.Coups and Mingyu brought their hyped-up moments to reality.

On the 5th, S.Coups and Mingyu hosted a fan party titled 'VIBE ALIVE: Chill Moments' at the Grand Auditorium of Seoul Women's University in Nowon-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their first mini-album 'HYPE VIBES'. The event was filled with live performances and talk segments under the theme of bringing the album's hot and free-spirited vibe to life.

From the start, S.Coups and Mingyu's free-spirited charm filled the venue. They performed the title track '5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)' and shared high-fives with fans.

In the following talk segment, Seungkwan made a surprise appearance as a special MC, showcasing their strong bond. He stated, "I could feel the hard work put into 'HYPE VIBES'. Even after being together for over a decade, I was surprised by the music and the album's completion. I wanted to help in any way I could, so I volunteered to host the fan party."

S.Coups and Mingyu, who led the production of the mini-album, candidly shared behind-the-scenes stories that had not been revealed elsewhere. They reflected, "We couldn't let go of our ambitions for the new release. Even if we regret it later, we wanted to trust ourselves and follow our choices. Every moment of making the album was colorful."

The event also featured various segments like 'CARAT POLL', predicting popular songs chosen by fans, 'CARAT INSIDE', exploring fans' true feelings, and 'ASK & ANSWER', where they responded to questions submitted on-site, adding to the enjoyment.

Towards the end of the fan party, live performances of 'For you' and 'Fiesta' from 'HYPE VIBES' were unveiled for the first time. The duo interacted with fans by stepping down into the audience, who responded with enthusiastic sing-alongs and standing ovations. S.Coups and Mingyu stated, "Our activities are not over yet. Please look forward to and enjoy the various content that will be released in the future," receiving cheers from the crowd.

S.Coups and Mingyu released 'HYPE VIBES' on the 29th of last month. The album immediately topped the Hanteo Chart's daily album chart on its release day and broke the record for the highest first-week sales for a K-pop unit album by the fourth day. It also dominated Japan's Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' and China's largest music platform's 'Digital Bestselling Album' EP category on both daily and weekly charts.

Additionally, SEVENTEEN will kick off their 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN U.S.' starting on the 11th (local time) at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, followed by performances at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on the 16th and 17th, the Moody Center in Austin on the 21st and 22nd, the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on the 26th and 27th, and the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. on the 29th and 30th.
