CORTIS Rises on Global Charts with 'GREENGREEN' Mini Album
CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho, released their second mini album 'GREENGREEN' on the 4th. The title track 'REDRED', which was pre-released on the 20th of last month, has been gaining more attention post-album release, climbing various charts. As of 11 PM on the 5th, the track reached 4th place on Melon's 'Top 100' chart, marking the group's highest achievement on this chart, having entered at 98th place on the 26th of last month and steadily climbing. The daily charts also show an upward trend. As of the 4th, it rose 9 spots to 17th on Melon's daily chart and 10 spots to 3rd on Bugs.
CORTIS also made an appearance on the latest Billboard charts (dated May 9th). 'REDRED' ranked 63rd on the 'Global 200' and 31st on the 'Global Excl. U.S.' chart. It entered the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart at 10th place, based on digital sales.
On Spotify, the metrics continue to rise. On the 4th, CORTIS ranked 91st on the 'Daily Top Artists Global' chart, the highest for a K-pop boy group debuting in the last five years. 'REDRED' climbed 45 spots to 36th on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart on the same day, with daily streams reaching 2.55 million, the highest since its release. It entered the 'Daily Top Songs U.S.' chart at 134th and maintained 1st place on the Korean chart for seven consecutive days. All six tracks from the album charted on these lists.
As of the 5th, all tracks from the album entered Apple Music's 'Top 100: South Korea' chart. Notably, 'REDRED' held the 1st position for 10 consecutive days and climbed 23 spots to 27th on the global chart. On China's largest music streaming platform, QQ Music's 'Rising Chart', the track 'TNT' secured 2nd place, while 'Blue Lips', 'Wassup', and 'ACAI' ranked 4th to 6th. 'REDRED' and 'YOUNGCREATORCREW' placed 11th and 12th, respectively.
CORTIS's second mini album 'GREENGREEN' represents the group's aim to erase boundaries and pursue their aspirations. The album also showed growth in sales. According to Hanteo Chart, it sold a total of 1,196,961 copies on its release day alone. In comparison, their first mini album took about three months to surpass 1 million in cumulative sales, while this album achieved the milestone in just one day.
