‘1st Anniversary of Debut’ Tempest, first runners on ‘Show Champion Essay’

Group TEMPEST was selected as the first protagonist of 'Show Champion Essay' and delivered a message of hope.

Tempest (Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, Lu, Hwarang, Taerae) appeared on MBC M's 'Show!' which aired on the 22nd. They appeared on Champion's 'Show Champion Essay' corner and performed 'Young & Wild', looking back on their past activities and delivering a message of 'hope' to K-POP fans.

On this day, Tempest looked back on their past activities and their thoughts on celebrating their first anniversary through the 'Show Champion Essay' corner, which covers the hidden stories and hidden stages of K-POP artists. Hanbin said, “I’m happy. “I have matured a lot,” he said. Hyuk said, “I feel like I’ve gotten stronger in the year since my debut.” Hwarang said, “I have been a trainee for a long time, but this was my first time debuting, so I felt lost, but I gained courage.” Lou expressed his ambition, saying, “Tempest’s path is taken by Tempest, and I want to show him growing and developing.”

Tempest agreed that they are finding their own unique color through three activities in one year. The members said that they were disappointed that ‘Young & Wild’ was a b-side song and introduced it as “a refreshing song that makes you feel excited and confident when you sing it” and “It is a song that gives courage and hope, and is the most Tempest-like song.”

Tempest delivered a message of hope to K-POP fans through the performance of 'Young & Wild', which expressed young and wild energy. 'Young & Wild' is a song included in Tempest's second mini-album 'SHINING UP', and entered the top of the music charts along with other songs at the time of release.

Tempest, who released 'Young & Wild' for the first time through 'Show Champion Essay', conveyed Tempest's charm through refreshing performances, facial expressions, and gestures even in a mature atmosphere. Tempest, who completed the styling with a white shirt and jeans, created a strong addiction with point choreography that stands out with confident poses and pair choreography in the chorus where they dance facing each other as if looking in a mirror.

Tempest won first place on a music show for the first time 8 months after their debut with the title song 'Dragon (飛上)' from their 3rd mini album 'ON and ON' released in November last year, and won various rookie awards. Recently, he appeared at 'KCON 2023 THAILAND' held in Bangkok, Thailand.
