LUCY Awakens Childlike Wonder with New Album 'Childish'
Today, LUCY (Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, Cho Won-sang, Shin Kwang-il) released a trailer video for their second full-length album 'Childish' on their official social media channels.
The trailer video depicts a journey back to 'LUCY ISLAND'. As Shin Kwang-il initiates a Goldberg machine, Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, and Cho Won-sang engage in seemingly childish games like block stacking and darts with expressionless faces. The video concludes with a train from the album cover image bursting through a wall, injecting vibrancy into a monochrome world.
The ticket to 'LUCY ISLAND' reveals the album release date 'APRIL 29 6PM' and LUCY's debut year 'LUCY 2020', drawing attention. This hints at the band's journey back to 'LUCY ISLAND', originally created during their debut, with Shin Kwang-il leading the reformation of the group. Fans are eagerly anticipating the music and stories LUCY will present in their second full-length album.
'Childish' marks LUCY's first full album in approximately 1 year and 8 months, featuring 15 tracks including the title song 'Universal Viewing'. Cho Won-sang, who has produced all of LUCY's albums since their debut, took the lead in the production of this album as well. Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, and Shin Kwang-il also contributed to the songwriting and composition, enhancing the album's musical completeness. Additionally, the album will include new versions of songs from their mini 6th and 7th albums, featuring Shin Kwang-il's voice, drawing further interest.
Alongside their full comeback, LUCY continues to invite fans to 'return to childhood' in real life. On the 25th at 3 PM, LUCY will hold a special busking event titled 'LUCY 2ND FULL ALBUM 'Childish' SPECIAL BUSKING' at an undisclosed location in Seoul, with the exact venue to be announced three hours prior.
LUCY's second full album 'Childish' will be released on various music platforms on April 29 at 6 PM. Following the release, LUCY will host a solo concert 'LUCY 9th CONCERT 'ISLAND'' on May 16-17 at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
