ITZY Set to Release New Mini Album 'Motto' on May 18

K-pop sensation ITZY is gearing up to release their new mini album 'Motto' along with its title track on May 18.

JYP Entertainment announced ITZY's comeback by unveiling the trailer, tracklist, and scheduler for the mini album 'Motto' on their official social media channels on the 22nd. This marks ITZY's return with new music approximately six months after their last release, 'TUNNEL VISION', in November 2025.

The trailer opens with a surreal scene featuring a bumblebee on a ladder and a tilted limousine floating in the air. Members of ITZY are seen in various precarious positions, such as leaning on a chair inside the limousine or balancing on hoops, spheres, a horse, and a fire hydrant. The five members, each in their own surreal scenario, eventually gather by climbing down a ladder that appears before them. The trailer concludes with ITZY walking and moving freely on a ladder that spells out the album's name, 'Motto', leaving a strong visual impact. Director Léa Esmaili, known for her immersive visual storytelling, collaborated with ITZY to create a meticulously crafted and aesthetically pleasing video. Esmaili is renowned for her unique style and experimental approach, embedding narratives into each frame through composition, rhythm, and art direction.

The new album 'Motto' includes the title track and songs like 'Glitch', 'you And I', and five solo tracks first introduced during their third world tour : 'Pocket (Yeji)', 'Asylum (Lia)', 'LOOK (Ryujin)', 'Undefined (Chaeryeong)', and 'Tangerine (Yuna)', making a total of eight tracks. The album features contributions from renowned writers and producers such as Sim Eunji, Lee Woo-min "collapsedone", KASS, and Justin Reinstein.

According to the scheduler image, ITZY will gradually release concept photos, individual content titled 'What is your Motto', album spoilers, and music video teasers starting from the 27th. On the day of the album release, a countdown live event will be held at 5 PM to celebrate the comeback with their global fanbase, MIDZY. Additionally, a US physical album and a remix version of 'Motto' will be released on the 22nd at 1 PM.

ITZY kicked off their new world tour in February at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, receiving rave reviews. They premiered the performance of 'THAT'S A NO NO', a track from their second mini album, which sparked a viral dance challenge known as 'Daechu No No' on social media. Riding this wave of popularity, ITZY performed at Melbourne's John Cain Arena on the 17th and Sydney's TikTok Entertainment Center on the 19th as part of their world tour.

Riding the wave of their world tour success, ITZY's new release 'Motto' will be available for streaming on various music platforms on May 18 at 6 PM.
