Blackpink Jisoo sells 870,000 copies of ‘ME’ in one day

According to YG Entertainment, Jisoo's first solo album, on April 1, Jisoo's first solo album [ME] sold 875,149 copies (based on Hanteo Chart) as soon as it was released at 1 PM on March 31, the previous day.
This is the highest-selling female solo album ever in Korea. Jisoo is the only Korean female solo singer to reach this figure just by counting on the day of release.
Previously, the highest initial sales figure for a K-pop female solo artist was Lisa's 'LALISA'. Rosé's 'R' followed, and the first, second, and third places in this field were all taken by Blackpink members. It makes you realize their overwhelming popularity in the global music market.
This performance of the index was predicted early on. The number of pre-orders for the first solo album 'ME' exceeded 950,000 copies within two weeks of the start of pre-orders (as of March 20th), and 1.31 million copies within three weeks. With this momentum, it is expected that she will easily become the first K-pop female solo artist to become a 'million seller'.
The music performance is also strong. The title song 'FLOWER' has so far topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 60 countries, including the United States, and has occupied the top spot on the worldwide charts. It is also expected to perform well as it has settled at the top of major domestic music charts with a rapid upward trend and is looking to dominate the charts.
The music video for ‘FLOWER’ is also gaining explosive popularity. As soon as it was released, this music video went straight to No. 1 on YouTube as a worldwide trending video, and has now reached the top of the 'Most viewed videos in 24 hours' list, currently exceeding 40 million views.
