Actor-Director Jung Woo Expresses Gratitude to Co-star Go Ara at 'Jjanggu' Premiere
On the 20th, an interview was conducted with Jung Woo, who plays the titular role in the film 'Jjanggu', at a café located in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Jung Woo not only wrote the screenplay for 'Jjanggu' but also stars in and directs the film, marking his directorial debut.
'Jjanggu' is a lively and passionate story about an aspiring actor, Jjanggu (played by Jung Woo), who perseveres despite numerous failed auditions. The character Jjanggu, from the film 'Wind', returns to the big screen after 16 years.
During the interview, Jung Woo expressed his appreciation for Go Ara attending the VIP premiere, describing her as "very beautiful, with an even more beautiful heart." He added, "We meet often. The 'Reply' team gets together once or twice a year. I've also met Ara with my wife Yumi a few times before. Ara is very kind to Yumi."
He continued, "It's great to see her doing well. I was surprised to see Ara post a photo on Instagram. She's truly an amazing friend." Jung Woo and Go Ara previously worked together on the 2013 tvN drama 'Reply 1994'.
'Jjanggu' is set to be released on the 22nd.
