Actor-Director Jung Woo Discusses His Debut Film 'Jjanggu' and Future Prospects
Actor and director Jung Woo made a surprising statement during an interview.

On the 20th, an interview was conducted with Jung Woo, who plays the role of Jjanggu, at a café located in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Jung Woo not only wrote the screenplay for 'Jjanggu' but also stars in and directs the film. Notably, 'Jjanggu' marks Jung Woo's directorial debut.

'Jjanggu' is a lively and passionate story about an aspiring actor, Jjanggu (played by Jung Woo), who perseveres despite numerous failed auditions. The character Jjanggu, from the film 'Wind,' returns to the screen after 16 years.

During the interview, Jung Woo clarified that 'Jjanggu,' often referred to as the sequel to 'Wind,' is not 'Wind 2.' When the press expressed surprise, he humorously noted, "The PR team behind me looks pale. But I never said it was 'Wind 2.'" He added, "There is more to the story after 'Jjanggu,' but I hope this one does well first. Then, 'Jjanggu 2' could be possible."

He continued, "I think a lot about the process rather than the success. What matters is how valuable and happy the process was. I am happy now, and the word that surpasses that is gratitude. Success is not up to me, so I want to enjoy it."

'Jjanggu' is set to be released on the 22nd.
