Yoon Kyung-ho's Chilling Transformation in 'The Ultimate Investigation'

Actor Yoon Kyung-ho reveals a new side of himself. Known for his warm, neighborly charm, he surprises with a chilling gaze of madness.

On November 2, the film 'The Ultimate Investigation' was released. It meets audiences seven years after filming wrapped. The movie is a crime investigation drama about Detective Jae-hyuk, who is demoted to a rural area, and his journey to Seoul with rookie detective Joong-ho to catch the real culprit behind a murder case involving two suspects. Yoon Kyung-ho plays Jo Dong-oh, who is imprisoned as the murder suspect but gets a chance for a retrial.

In the first half, he appears as a wrongfully accused murder suspect, pleading for release from prison. This is the familiar face of Yoon Kyung-ho that audiences know.

However, as the film progresses, Yoon Kyung-ho unveils a gaze never seen before. His expression, seemingly intoxicated by murder, sends chills down the spine. His subtle facial changes and eerie gaze instantly captivate. He convincingly portrays a range of emotions, from emptiness to a sinister desire, proving his presence.

In the film, he even resorts to domestic violence against his wife, kills women, and ultimately threatens a prosecutor. It's a 180-degree transformation from the talkative, bright, and pure Yoon Kyung-ho.

During the production briefing, Yoon Kyung-ho expressed, "While I'm happy to receive love from appearing frequently on variety shows, I'm worried about being typecast." Contrary to his concerns, he won't remain just one of the entertainment industry's top chatterboxes. Anyone who watches 'The Ultimate Investigation' will be chilled by Yoon Kyung-ho's terrifying transformation.
