Actor Bae Sung-woo Expresses Gratitude for the Release of 'The Ultimate Investigation' After 7 Years
Actor Bae Sung-woo expressed his gratitude for the release of the film.

On the 25th, a press screening for the movie 'The Ultimate Investigation' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Park Cheol-hwan, along with actors Bae Sung-woo, Jung Ga-ram, Jo Han-chul, and Yoon Kyung-ho.

Bae Sung-woo commented on the film's release after seven years, saying, "I'm grateful that the movie is being released for various reasons. I hope it remains an enjoyable experience for those who watch it." 'The Ultimate Investigation' was initially set to release in 2020 but was delayed for seven years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Bae Sung-woo's DUI controversy.

He further explained, "The setup is something I've seen in previous films, and I've played similar roles before. The character is a veteran but has a stubborn and prejudiced personality, which is interestingly broken down lightly. There are generational and hierarchical conflicts, but instead of sticking to my own thoughts, the character easily accepts other opinions, catches the criminal, and achieves results as a detective, which was intriguing from the script stage."

Meanwhile, 'The Ultimate Investigation' is a crime investigation drama that follows detective 'Jae-hyuk' (played by Bae Sung-woo), who is demoted to a rural area. He embarks on a final investigation in Seoul with rookie detective 'Jung-ho' (played by Jung Ga-ram) to catch the real culprit behind a murder case involving two suspects.
