Yim Si-wan Returns to Music: Actor-Turned-Singer Prepares New Album

On September 30th, an interview was conducted with Yim Si-wan at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding his role in the Netflix film 'Mantis.' The movie portrays a fierce competition in the assassin-for-hire industry, where all rules have collapsed. Yim Si-wan plays Han-ul, an A-list killer with innate talent, who returns from a long break to reclaim his position. The film also stars Park Gyu-young as his rival Jae-yi and Jo Woo-jin as the retired legendary killer Dok-go.
During the interview, Yim Si-wan appeared with a striking gold hairstyle. When reporters commented that it resembled an idol's hair, he humorously replied, "I dyed it for my album preparation. I'm planning to return as a singer after a long time. This hairstyle is not for a film role but for my music comeback. It's been a while since I've had an idol-like hairstyle."
He further explained, "The genre is a medium-tempo pop style. It's not a complete dance track, but it's catchy even after one listen. I'm aiming to release it between October and November."
