The movie 'Escape' has released a chase moment still featuring Koo Kyo-hwan, who plays Hyeong-seon.

'Escape' is a film depicting a life-threatening chase between Gyu-nam, a North Korean soldier who sets out to escape for tomorrow, and Hyeon-sang, an officer of the National Security Agency who chases after Gyu-nam to protect today.

The released still shows the persistent yet cool-headed appearance of Hyeon-sang (Koo Kyo-hwan), an officer of the National Security Agency who follows Gyu-nam (Lee Je-hoon) to the end in order to prevent him from escaping. The neat appearance in uniform and the contrasting disheveled appearance of the phenomenon give us a glimpse of his will to pursue him fiercely, using any means necessary to catch the fugitive.

As director Lee Jong-pil said, "If Gyu-nam goes straight like a jaguar, I wanted Hyun-hyeon to go with the feeling of beautifully spreading his wings and chasing like a peacock rather than like a wild beast," Hyeon-hyeon foreshadows a chaser character that has not been easily seen before. Unlike Gyu-nam's escape where he runs, rolls and falls, Hyeon-hyeon's chase seems leisurely and leisurely, but his hidden inner self pursues his target with a frightening tenacity. Koo Kyo-hwan, who performed a variety of actions for the chase, said, "I thought a lot about how to sniper. As a person who dreamed of becoming a pianist, Hyeon-sang controlled his breathing based on the sense of rhythm as if listening to a metronome," leaving the past behind. It adds to the curiosity about the chaser's charisma and his transformation into a ruthless sharpshooter.

Koo Kyo-hwan said about Hyeon-sang, "Hyeon-sang is not a person who simply captures Gyu-nam, but a person who discovers something in Gyu-nam, who, unlike himself, fully embraces and moves forward with his dream. So, he has many emotions that make him not want to let go anymore and wants to hold on to him more and change it somehow. “It passes,” he explained. He also said, “It is only shown because it is dramatized in terms of genre, but the core of the phenomenon is questions that can occur to anyone.”

'Escape' will be released in theaters on July 3rd.
