Martin Scorsese's 'Flower Killing Moon' will be released on Apple TV+ starting January 12th
Apple Original Film 'Flower Killing Moon' (directed by Martin Scorsese) will be released on Apple TV+ starting January 12.

'Flower Killing Moon' is a movie based on the true story of the Osage tribe, who suddenly gained enormous wealth through oil in the early 20th century. It is based on author David Grann's best-selling novel about the tragic history of the Osage people.

Director Martin Scorsese directed and wrote the film, and Eric Roth also participated in the screenplay. Actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantu Cardinal, Kara Jade Meyer, Janae Collins, and Gillian Dion participated.

It won the Best Picture award from the National Association of Film Critics and was nominated for 12 categories at the 2023 Critics' Choice Awards and 7 categories at the Golden Globes. In addition, it was mentioned as a preliminary candidate for the Academy Award for Best Makeup, Best Sound, Best Music, and Best Original Song. 'Flower Killing Moon,' which was selected as the best film of 2023 by the Critics Association, is scheduled to win the Vanguard Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

It was co-produced by Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions, and Appian Way, with Martin Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, and Daniel Luffy serving as producers. Additionally, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yon, Adam Somer, Marianne Bowie, Lisa Frechet, John Atwood, Cher Kammer, and Nils Juhl were named as executive producers.
