On the 15th, a production briefing session for the movie ‘Noryang: Sea of Death’ (directed by Kim Han-min) was held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Director Kim Han-min, actors Kim Yun-seok, Baek Yun-sik, Jeong Jae-young, Heo Jun-ho, Kim Seong-gyu, Lee Kyu-hyung, Lee Moo-saeng, Choi Deok-moon, Park Myung-hoon, Park Hoon, and Moon Jeong-hee attended the event.
'Noryang: Sea of Death' is a war action masterpiece depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin's final battle to completely annihilate the Japanese army trying to retreat from Joseon, seven years after the outbreak of the Japanese Invasion of Korea. Director Kim Han-min, who was in charge of directing, produced the Yi Sun-shin trilogy, including 'Roaring Currents', 'Hansan: Appearance of the Dragon', and 'Noryang: The Sea of Death'.
Regarding his feelings about the release of 'Noryang: The Sea of Death', which concludes the Yi Sun-shin trilogy, director Kim Han-min said, "I am able to finish the 10-year journey safely. Without any accidents with actors with great and tremendous aura. In a difficult social atmosphere. “I am feeling a lot of tension and nervousness as this movie is being released,” he said.
Director Kim Han-min, who said he prepared a spectacular naval battle scene this time, said, "It's about 1 hour and 40 minutes long. Isn't it the naval battle where Admiral Yi Sun-sin passed away? The message about the cause and preservation has a great resonance. It's no exaggeration to say that we went on a long journey for that purpose. Because it was a large-scale naval battle, I tried to show its scale. It was a battle fought from night to morning. I had no choice but to add the subtitle 'Sea of Death.' The know-how and step-by-step upgrades of 'Myeongryang' and 'Hansan' were melted into 'Noryang'. “Yes, that’s why I’m even more nervous,” he said.
The movie ‘Noryang: Sea of Death’ is scheduled to be released on December 20th.
