Actress Bae Doo-na expressed her affection for director Jeong Ju-ri, with whom she reunited after 7 years through the movie 'Next Sohee'.

On the afternoon of the 31st, a press screening for the movie 'Next Sohee' (directed by Jeong Ju-ri) was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Actors Bae Doo-na, Kim Si-eun, and director Jeong Ju-ri attended the press conference held after the preview.

'Next Sohee' is an intense story about an incident that Sohee (played by Si-eun Kim), a confident 18-year-old high school student, experiences while going on field training, and Eugene (played by Doo-na Bae), a detective who investigates it, encounters it in the same space but at a different time. Last year, it was the first Korean film to be selected as the closing film of the Critics Week at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival.

In the play, Bae Doo-na plays the role of Oh Yu-jin, a detective who returns to work after a long absence. Oh Yu-jin is a character who retraces So-hee's footsteps.

On this day, Bae Doona said, "Whoever I sent the 'Next Sohee' script to would have read it properly. I liked the script. I would have done it in any role, but I'm glad it came to me."

He said, "It was nice to be together again. 'Doheeya' was a very low-budget movie. We lived together and had a hard time. In 2014, we didn't have 52 hours like now, so we filmed for 24 hours. We also made a lot of memories of our hardships on Geumho Island." .

He continued, "He came to me with a scenario like this just when I was thinking that no news was good news, and a deeper sense of comradeship and strong feelings arose. I spent many hours thinking and meditating and took my own time to find me, and my faith and trust were strengthened. He added, “I’ve become a fan.”

Meanwhile, 'Next Sohee' will be released on February 8th.
