‘Your Name.’, ‘Suzume’s Lockdown’, Korean dubbed version released
According to distributor Showbox on the 4th, 'Suzume's Lockdown' confirmed the Korean dubbed version to be released in May, and revealed the voice actor casting lineup, including Jang Ye-na, Jeong Joo-won, Lee Ji-hyun, and Lee Kyung-tae.
The voice of the main character, Suzume, who sets out on a journey to break through the gates, is voiced by voice actress Jang Ye-na. Voice actress Jang Yena is active in a variety of fields, including animations such as 'Moon Fairy Sailor Moon Stars' and 'Dragon Ball Super', as well as games and foreign film dubbing.
Voice actor Jeong Joo-won was selected to play the role of Sota, a young man who travels to close the door that leads to disaster. He was in charge of the Everett Ross character in the 'Captain America' and 'Black Panther' series, and has also played important roles in many animated films and games. Voice actor Lee Ji-hyun, famous for her role as Sera, the main character of the 'Moon Fairy Sailor Moon' series, played the role of Suzume's aunt Tamaki.
In addition, voice actor Lee Kyung-tae, who played the main character Tanjiro Kamado in 'My Hero Academia', 'Haikyuu!!', and the movie version of 'Demon Slayer: Infinite Train', joined the cast in the role of Serizawa, Sota's best friend. Lastly, the role of Daijin, the mysterious cat, will be played by voice actor Lee Seon-yul, who was born in 2015 and is expected to show the lively and cute charm of an 8-year-old child.
Director Makoto Shinkai's previous works can also be seen once again in Korean dubbed versions. ‘Your Name.’ is scheduled to be re-released in a completely new dubbed version along with ‘Weather Child’ and ‘Suzume’s Lockdown.’ The new 'Your Name.' In the case of the dubbed version, voice actor Kim Ga-ryeong, who played the role of Shin Ji-su in 'Wizard Precure!', 'I Am Star!', and 'Card Captor Cherry', takes on the role of Mitsuha, a country girl. The role of city boy Taki is played by voice actor Lee Gyeong-tae. Japanese voice actor Ryunosuke Kamiki says 'Your Name.' Following Taki, voice actor Lee Gyeong-tae will be in charge of both characters, just as he was in charge of Serizawa in 'Suzume's Door Break'.
Meanwhile, 'Suzume's Lockdown' is a story about a girl, Suzume, who accidentally opens a door that causes disaster, and desperately tries to close it to prevent disasters occurring throughout Japan, and is being screened to rave reviews in theaters across the country.
