Lee Dong-hwi's 'method acting' confirmed for feature film production

The film ‘Method Acting’ (directed by Lee Ki-hyuk), which was produced as a short and received positive response, is being made into a feature film.

According to Ten Asia coverage on the 30th, 'Method Acting' has been confirmed to be produced as a feature film and will begin production next month. A film official told Ten Asia, "The 'method acting' season has been confirmed to start in May," and added, "Following the short film, the feature-length work is also expected to feature Lee Dong-hwi as the lead actor."

‘Method Acting’ tells the story of actor Lee Dong-hwi, who plays an anorexic patient, fasting throughout filming. The news spread that Lee Dong-hwi, who was immersed in his role, actually fasted for 10 days, and the public praised him, but in reality, Lee Dong-hwi struggled with unbearable hunger. The satire on method acting was presented in a suspenseful and comical manner, and received favorable reviews from critics.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong-hwi is showing active acting skills, appearing in the recent movie 'Maybe We Broke Up' (directed by Hyeong Seul-woo) and the Disney+ series 'Casino'.
