The Marvel movie 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3' took the first place, pushing out 'Super Mario Bros.'

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on the 4th, 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 (hereinafter referred to as Gao Gal 3)', which was released on the 3rd, mobilized 163,340 people. As a result, 'Gaogao 3' overtook 'Super Mario Bros.' and became the new king.

The difference between ‘Gao Gal 3’ and second place ‘Super Mario Bros.’ (22,851 people) was 135,489 people. With overwhelming numbers, it ranked first at the box office on the first day of release. In particular, 'Gao Gal 3' attracted attention as it recorded 99% in the CGV Golden Egg Index, the highest among Marvel movies released in the past three years.

Even before its release, it was expected that 'Gaogao 3' would appear as a relief pitcher in the difficult theater market. The prediction was not wrong. However, compared to the previous episode, the number of viewers on the first day decreased noticeably. The previous work, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' was chosen by 422,412 people on the first day of its release.

Although the results are somewhat disappointing compared to the previous work, 'GaoGala3' starts tomorrow. The holiday season begins on the 5th with Children's Day and runs until the 7th. As of 10:45 am, the reservation rate for ‘Gao Gal 3’ is 39.4%. The number of advance tickets is 331,526. The number of advance tickets is also 86,728, which is a difference from 'Super Mario Bros.' (244,798), which ranked second.

In 'Gaogael 3', Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who was grieving over the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), joins forces with the Guardians team once again to protect the galaxy and his colleagues in crisis. It's a story about going on a mission that could be their last if they don't succeed. ‘Gaogao 3’ says goodbye at the end of this season.

Chris Pratt, who previously visited Korea, said, "I thought I could do this forever, but it seems like nothing lasts forever. I'm bitter that it's over. I have many emotions, but gratitude comes first." He added, "This movie was made with the intention of giving a gift. I hope you will see it in theaters, and I am confident that it will become the movie of the year." Director James Gunn also expressed his wish, saying, "I had fun making it. Since this is a movie I dedicate to you, I hope you will see it in theaters."

Attention is being paid to whether 'Gaogao 3', which was created with the intention of giving a gift, will be able to decorate a spectacular finale.
