Jeong Yu-mi and Lee Seon-gyun ‘sleep’ normal for 2 consecutive days

'Sleep' starring actors Jung Yu-mi and Lee Seon-kyun is firmly maintaining its top spot for the second day. Approximately three times more audiences chose ‘Sleep’ than ‘Oppenheimer’.According to the box office of the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater admissions on the 7th, 'Sleep' (director Yoo Jae-seon) mobilized 56,155 viewers, recording a cumulative attendance of 143,698. Previously, 'Sleep' entered first place upon release, beating 'Oppenheimer', which had consistently held the top spot at the daily box office for 22 days, and has remained at the top for two days. 'Sleep' is a film about a happy newlywed couple, Hyeon-soo (Lee Seon-kyun) and Su-jin (Jung Yu-mi), who struggle to unravel the mystery of her husband Hyun-soo's strange behavior during sleep that haunts him like a nightmare, and the secret of the terrible fear that begins the moment he falls asleep. This is director Yoo Jae-seon's debut film, known as 'Bong Joon-ho Kid', and it attracted a lot of attention by being invited to the Cannes Film Festival even before its domestic release.
‘Oppenheimer’ (director Christopher Nolan), which was pushed to second place, attracted 18,286 viewers that day.
The cumulative number of viewers is 2,859,719. 'Oppenheimer' is director Christopher Nolan's new film about the nuclear development project of a genius scientist who must take the risk of destroying the world in order to save it.
'Sweet Sea: 7510' (directed by Lee Han) maintained third place despite the tectonic changes. It mobilized 13,397 audiences, recording a cumulative audience of 1,178,699. 'Sweet Water: 7510' tells the story of Chi-ho (Yoo Hae-jin), a genius confectionery researcher who knows nothing but sweets, and how the taste of life changes when he meets Il-yeong (Kim Hee-seon), a worldly positive person who only knows how to go straight. ‘Sweet and Spicy’, known as a well-made romantic comedy, is quietly and steadily attracting audiences.
'Concrete Utopia' (directed by Um Tae-hwa), which rose to 4th place, attracted 12,189 viewers and recorded a cumulative audience of 3,669,821. 'Concrete Utopia' is a disaster drama that tells the story of Seoul, which has been devastated by a major earthquake, with survivors gathering in the only remaining palace apartment. 'Concrete Utopia' was evaluated as both artistic and popular and was selected as a Korean film entry in the International Feature Film category at the 96th Academy Awards.
‘Target’ (directed by Park Hee-gon) ranked 5th and attracted 10,267 people. The cumulative audience number is 324,905. 'Target' is a suspenseful thriller that unfolds in the daily life of Soo-hyeon (Shin Hye-sun), who becomes the target of a crime through second-hand trading, and is drawing interest by depicting realistic fears that can happen to anyone.
