Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon Reveals 19 Years of Dorm Life and SM Contract Secrets
On the 17th, Hyoyeon appeared on the YouTube channel 'Hal Myung-soo'.
During the show, Hyoyeon surprised viewers by revealing that she still lives in a dormitory even after her active years with Girls' Generation. She said, "I still live in a dorm. It's great to have a comfortable place to rest and delicious meals provided."
Hyoyeon explained her reason for staying in the dorm, saying, "When I first signed with SM, they promised to take care of me like a 'second mother', and they still do. That's why I want to stay."
Questioning why she should leave the dorm, Hyoyeon expressed her satisfaction with her current lifestyle, admitting, "Sometimes, when I don't have any income, I feel a bit uneasy. I wonder if I should still be here."
As Girls' Generation approaches their 20th anniversary, Hyoyeon shared that she is planning with the members. She said, "I cry a lot while watching dramas, but I've never cried when receiving an award. It feels like acting. I wonder why I should cry when it's something I've worked hard for."
Meanwhile, when Hyoyeon expressed her trust in SM, saying, "SM always supports and applauds those who work hard," Park Myung-soo humorously revealed, "I was also part of SM's first generation. They offered me a contract, but after H.O.T. became successful, they neglected me, and my contract was automatically terminated," drawing laughter from the audience.
