Korean Actress Shim Eun-ha's Recent Photos Spark Renewed Interest Amidst Comeback Rumors

Recent photos of actress Shim Eun-ha have surfaced online, reigniting public interest in her life.

The images, which have been circulating on online communities and social media, show Shim Eun-ha smiling alongside her husband, former National Assembly member Ji Sang-wook, on an airplane.

The photos have elicited a variety of reactions from netizens. Some commented on her unadorned appearance, noting she looks ordinary, while others praised her enduring beauty. There have also been reports from people claiming to have seen her recently.

Shim Eun-ha's recent activities were also mentioned on television. In May of last year, TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love' featured the wedding of comedian Shim Hyun-seop and Jung Young-rim.

Although Shim Eun-ha, a distant relative of Shim Hyun-seop, did not attend the wedding, she sent her congratulations and a floral wreath. It was also revealed that she conveyed her well-wishes through a phone call.

Born in 1972, Shim Eun-ha debuted as an actress in 1993 through MBC's 22nd open recruitment. She gained immense popularity with dramas like 'The Last Match', 'M', 'Trap of Youth', and films such as 'Christmas in August' and 'Art Museum by the Zoo'.

However, at the peak of her career in 2001, she abruptly announced her retirement from the entertainment industry. She married Ji Sang-wook in 2005, and the couple has two daughters. Since her marriage, she has focused on her family life, staying away from the entertainment scene.

In 2023, rumors of Shim Eun-ha's comeback emerged. A production company claimed to have signed a drama contract with someone who purported to be her agent, paying 1.5 billion won (approximately $1.1 million) as part of a 3 billion won ($2.2 million) deal.

However, Shim Eun-ha's representatives denied the legitimacy of the agent and the contract, stating that the documents, including the actor's seal and related messages, were falsified.

In response, her husband Ji Sang-wook filed a legal complaint against the production company and its CEO for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
