Naul of Brown Eyed Soul Reveals Two-Year Battle with Vocal Cord Polyps on 'Salon Drip'

On the 14th, the web variety show 'Salon Drip', hosted by Jang Do-yeon, featured the complete lineup of Brown Eyed Soul members Naul, Jung Yup, and Young Jun.
Jang Do-yeon expressed her excitement, noting, "This is the first full appearance of Brown Eyed Soul on a variety show in their 22-year career." When asked about the decision to appear, Jung Yup explained, "Naul suggested it, and we agreed, especially with the upcoming concert at Gocheok Sky Dome."

Previously, Jung Yup had mentioned on a broadcast that the delay in Brown Eyed Soul's comeback was "because of Naul." Naul revealed, "I had a sore throat and developed vocal cord polyps. I couldn't speak for two years, but miraculously, it healed naturally. If the surgery had failed, I wouldn't have been able to sing again."
Regarding the possibility of an annual comeback, Naul stated, "There are no plans." He also explained his constant sunglasses, saying, "I have poor eyesight, and it's difficult for me to look at people." Young Jun added, "Even during concert talks, he doesn't speak much. I end up with a bloody throat, but when Naul says just one word, the fans go wild."

In his 40s, Naul candidly shared, "Six years ago, I was buying non-alcoholic beer, and they asked for my ID at the store. I was dressed young, but it made me really happy."
When asked about the order of names in 'Kim Na Park' (Kim Bum-soo, Naul, Park Hyo-shin), Naul replied, "We all have different styles," choosing not to elaborate further.

When Jang Do-yeon asked which song between Naul's 'Memory of the Wind' and Jung Yup's 'Nothing Better' brings in more royalties, the members revealed, "The top royalty earner is Young Jun's 'How Can I Not Love You'." The song is frequently used by fans of BTS, Lim Young-woong, and Shohei Ohtani in short-form videos. Young Jun expressed his gratitude, saying, "I check everything, and I'm thankful."
Meanwhile, Brown Eyed Soul is set to meet their fans after six years with their 'SOUL Tricycle' concert at Gocheok Sky Dome on December 24, 25, and 27.
