Ha Jung-woo "I was eliminated because my nephew's name was recommended by Kim Il-sung"
Actor Ha Jung-woo expressed his feelings about becoming an uncle.
On the 13th, Ha Jung-woo was interviewed about the movie 'Hijacking' at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and told various stories.
Recently, Ha Jung-woo's younger brother Kim Young-hoon and actress Hwang Bo-ra held their son in their arms. In response, Ha Jung-woo said, "I saw my nephew, but I couldn't hold him. It was my first time seeing a baby that small. Since my younger brother and Hwang Bo-ra had a child, I realistically thought, 'Should I have a child too?' The impression was strong. A few days later, I dreamed of a baby. “I should get married before I’m 50,” he said, drawing laughter.
He then joked, "Hwang Bo-ra was worried a lot about her child's name. I said, 'Times have changed, so why not go for a strong one?' and recommended Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il, and Kim Jong-un. It was a name that came up as a joke."
Ha Jung-woo said, "I was jealous. I thought, 'What have I done so far?'"
'Hijacking' is a film about the extreme situation that occurred when a passenger plane was hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971. It was created based on a true story. Ha Jung-woo played the role of Tae-in, a passenger aircraft co-pilot from the Air Force. The character who confronts the kidnapper Yong-dae (played by Yeo Jin-goo) and tries to save the passengers was carefully expressed.
‘Hijacking’ is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 21st.
