Big Bang member T.O.P's trip to the moon has been canceled.

On the 1st, the 'Dear Moon' project announced through its official account, "Unfortunately, the first private lunar orbit project 'Dear Moon' has been canceled," and "Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far."

After the news became known, T.O.P. also posted on his SNS, "As you may have heard, the 'Dear Moon' project has unfortunately been cancelled. I am deeply grateful to Mr. Yusaku Maezawa who conceptualized the 'Dear Moon' project."

“This was the greatest and most beautiful artistic project for the advancement of humanity that no one in the world could have imagined, and the courage to attempt this mission was truly extraordinary to witness,” he said. “My dream never ends.”

He added, "As a Korean artist, this experience has had a profound impact on my life and the music I make. My body and soul's connection to the moon and space has already inspired me to compose many new music, some of which I will share soon. “I’m looking forward to being able to do so,” he said.

TOP announced that he will participate in the lunar tourism project 'Dear Moon' by SpaceX, an American space exploration company founded by Elon Musk, in 2022. 'Dear Moon' is a project that aims to be the first civilian to fly to the moon, and the schedule is to orbit the moon aboard a spacecraft developed by SpaceX for a total of 6 days.
