Jung Hae-in attends the Cannes Film Festival for the first time in his life

Actor Jung Hae-in shared his overwhelming feelings at his first Cannes Film Festival.

On the 21st (local time), the film 'Veteran 2', which was invited to the midnight screening of the 77th Cannes International Film Festival, was released to the world for the first time at the Lumiere Grand Theater. The world premiere of 'Veteran 2' was sold out even before screening at the Cannes Film Festival, proving to be a hot film, and at the midnight screening, there was a standing ovation for about 10 minutes and cheers from the audience after the film ended. Jung Hae-in, who entered the Cannes Film Festival for the first time in his life with 'Veteran 2', had a special moment walking on the Cannes red carpet and introducing the film he starred in to audiences from all over the world who filled the theater.

After completing his official schedule, Jung Hae-in said through his agency, “I was really grateful and happy to be able to come to the Cannes Film Festival with my work as an actor. Above all, it is even more meaningful because it was the time I spent with director Ryu Seung-wan and senior Hwang Jung-min on ‘Veteran 2’. In fact, it was a moment full of joy that cannot be expressed in words. “I was able to receive a lot of good energy through various events at Cannes, and I think it will remain as a truly valuable and special memory in my future life as an actor,” he said.

In 'Veteran 2', Jung Hae-in played the role of Park Seon-woo, the youngest detective who joined Detective Seo Do-cheol's (Hwang Jung-min) team. Jung Hae-in, who joined 'Veteran 2', which returns about 9 years after 'Veteran', which was released in 2015, is expected to create a unique viewing point by playing a new character in the drama and creating a new atmosphere.

Previously, Jung Hae-in portrayed a realistic romance in dramas such as 'Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food' and 'Spring Night', played an emotional melodrama in the movie 'Yooyeol's Music Album', and acted in genre dramas with 'Connect' and 'DP' series. He has broadened his acting spectrum with the evaluation that he has taken on new challenges and shown a new face in each work. This raises curiosity about what kind of face Jung Hae-in will show through 'Veteran 2'.

Meanwhile, 'Veteran 2' is a work that depicts the story of the youngest detective Park Seon-woo joining the violent crime investigation team of veteran Detective Seo Do-cheol, who catches bad guys until the end, and chasing a serial killer who caused an uproar in the world. It is scheduled to be released in Korea in the second half of the year.
