Lee Dae-hwi, a member of Wanna One and AB6IX, has announced his decision to leave Rhymer's agency.
On the 29th, Lee appeared as a guest on the 963rd episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star' alongside Lee Jong-hyuk, Yoo Sun, and Jeon So-mi.
During the show, Lee Dae-hwi shared, "It's contract renewal season, and I've been with Rhymer for nine years. I want to challenge myself in a new environment, so I'm planning to leave the company." He added that he has already informed Rhymer and that they have agreed to support each other, describing it as a "beautiful farewell."
Lee also mentioned, "I've received many calls, but I haven't found the perfect company yet. I hope many people will reach out after seeing this."
In response, Kim Gura suggested Teddy's company, recommending Jeon So-mi's agency, The Black Label. Lee Dae-hwi revealed, "When So-mi was promoting 'CLOSER,' I visited her in the waiting room and told her I was planning to leave my company and wanted to join The Black Label. Since we're close friends and So-mi plays a significant role there, I asked her to put in a good word for me. But she said, 'Dae-hwi, you should join an entertainment-focused company,' and kept suggesting I go to Kwanghee's agency."
Jeon So-mi drew a line, saying that The Black Label and Lee Dae-hwi's style don't match. Lee is also considering reaching out to YY Entertainment, the agency of fellow Wanna One member Park Ji-hoon, who rose to stardom with the film 'The King and the Clown.'
Lee Dae-hwi expressed his interest in acting, saying, "I recently filmed a drama called 'Love That Will Freeze to Death' with senior actress Lee Da-hee. After that, I became interested in acting. Producing is my original field, I'm doing well as a singer, and I want to excel in variety shows too. I have many aspirations, which makes it challenging."
