In the 13th episode aired on the night of the 25th, the storyline unfolded with intense revelations. Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) disclosed the details of Momo's (played by Baek Seo-ra) 'brain change surgery,' leading Geum Bara (played by Ju Se-bin) to uncover Momo's true identity. The episode also featured the marriage and pregnancy of Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) and Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon), and the disappearance of Geum Bara, who is pregnant with Ha Yong-jung's child.
Initially, Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) approached Geum Bara, suggesting a farewell karaoke session before her marriage. During the session, Momo's question, "Do you ever think of Kim Jin-joo?" puzzled Geum Bara. Momo then sang 'Nim is Far Away,' a song Kim Jin-joo used to sing, triggering Geum Bara's memories of an 11-year-old Kim Jin-joo singing at the orphanage.
Geum Bara noticed changes in Momo's behavior, such as her newfound love for flowers and giving away her cat, which raised suspicions. When Geum Bara expressed her concerns to Shin Ju-shin, he revealed, "It's not possession; it's really Kim Jin-joo. Only the body is Momo's." He then offered to perform a 'brain change surgery' on Geum Bara so she could marry Ha Yong-jung, but she refused.
Recalling her past, where she was almost adopted but was thwarted by Kim Jin-joo's schemes, Geum Bara imagined Kim Jin-joo marrying Ha Yong-jung and mourned Momo's death. Confronting Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain), Geum Bara asked her to let Ha Yong-jung go, but Momo refused, threatening to expose the surgery and severing ties with Geum Bara.
Meanwhile, Shin Ju-shin received a farewell email from Geum Bara, expressing her wishes for his happiness. When Ha Yong-jung inquired about Geum Bara, Shin Ju-shin revealed her disappearance, leaving Ha Yong-jung in shock.
As Shin Ju-shin, Ha Yong-jung, and James (played by Jeon No-min) searched for Geum Bara, it was revealed that she was pregnant with a son. A flashback showed Geum Bara confirming her pregnancy at a clinic and meeting Ha Yong-jung at a cafe. Despite their conversation about marriage, Geum Bara left abruptly, turning off her phone, leaving Ha Yong-jung bewildered.
The episode concluded with Geum Bara packing her belongings into a large trunk and leaving, while Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) and Ha Yong-jung discussed their unborn daughter's name. Shin Ju-shin expressed his frustration at being unable to locate Geum Bara, who was later seen with a noticeable baby bump, encountering Paul Kim (played by Ji Young-san) in a dramatic 'vanishing pregnancy ending,' heightening anticipation for future episodes.
