Korean TV Host Lee Young-ja Moves Due to Noise Dispute with Downstairs Neighbor
Korean TV personality Lee Young-ja recently revealed on the tvN STORY show 'What to Do with the Leftovers' that she moved due to a noise dispute with her downstairs neighbor.

During a recent episode, Lee Young-ja recalled the extreme stress she experienced while living in Ilsan. She shared, “Even the slightest movement would result in immediate complaints from the downstairs neighbor. I was already wearing slippers, but I was unfairly asked to buy more.”

She further revealed, “Eventually, I developed a neurosis and couldn’t walk in the middle of my apartment. I had to walk sideways, holding onto the walls.”

In an attempt to identify the source of the noise, Lee invited her friends, Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook, to her home. She recalled telling them to enter cautiously, but as soon as they moved, the doorbell rang immediately.

Lee confessed, “I couldn’t live there. I tried explaining that the noise wasn’t coming from my apartment, but it was never resolved.”

After repeated conflicts, Lee decided to move. She admitted, “As a celebrity, I didn’t want to confront the issue directly or escalate it further.”

She added, “I really couldn’t live in that house, so I chose to move,” revealing the realistic challenges she faced as a public figure.

Co-star Lee Geum-hee offered advice on resolving neighbor disputes, suggesting that while seeing each other might initially cause more tension, it could change perspectives, especially regarding children. She recommended getting to know neighbors naturally through community meetings.
