Broadcaster KwakTube, who recently welcomed a baby boy on the 24th of last month after marrying a public official, has appeared on Netflix's variety show 'Death Game: The Final Winner'.

The first episode of 'Death Game: The Final Winner', which premiered on the 22nd, showcased preliminary rounds to determine the tournament participants. Season 2 follows a tournament format to crown a single ultimate winner. In the premiere, contestants without seeds, including Yurisa, Heo Seong-beom, KwakTube, Park Hee-seon, and KiiiKiii's Jiyu, fiercely competed for their last chance in the preliminaries.

The preliminaries saw the return of Yurisa, a Mensa member with an IQ of 156, and KAIST AI researcher Heo Seong-beom, who both failed to secure seeds in Season 1. Their reunion, having previously collaborated in 'Bloody Game 3', was marked by a warm greeting, showcasing their presence from the start. Joining them as a new face in Season 2 was travel YouTuber KwakTube, who stirred the atmosphere. He expressed his confidence, stating, "I watch more brain survival shows than travel programs," and humorously called his close friend, who was eliminated in Season 1, the weakest contestant ever.

Another new face was Park Hee-seon from 'Single's Inferno 5'. Currently studying at Carnegie Mellon University and visiting Seoul National University, Park declared, "I am very competitive. I will see it through to the end with the same determination as when I pursue love." KiiiKiii's leader Jiyu, a Busan Foreign Language High School graduate and a 1-dan Go player, also expressed her determination, mentioning her agency senior, IVE's Gaeul, saying, "I will work hard, inspired by Gaeul."

The preliminaries consist of two games, with one contestant eliminated in each game, leaving only three to advance to the main tournament to face the existing strong contenders. The first preliminary game, 'Fate War 39', drew attention. It is a psychological strategy game where players predict their victory count using given cards. The game involves 45 cards and 9 rounds, with points awarded for correct predictions and deducted for failures. The presence of '0 cards' and 'death cards' adds to the strategic complexity.

The preliminaries began with a close contest. While luck played a significant role initially, probability calculations, psychological tactics, and variable responses became crucial as the rounds progressed, heightening the tension. Yurisa, with her Mensa background, demonstrated her strategic prowess, leading the pack with a commanding presence.

Towards the end of the broadcast, Heo Seong-beom, feeling cornered, exclaimed, "The world is against me," while KwakTube, who had confidently declared, "This is my game," found himself in a predicament due to prediction failures, adding dramatic tension. The anticipation builds as viewers wonder who will be the first to be eliminated.

'Death Game: The Final Winner' is released every Wednesday at 5 PM.
