Rising Star Moon Woo-jin Shines in 'Scarecrow' with Intense Performance
ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Scarecrow' is a crime thriller that unfolds as a detective, investigating a serial murder case, unexpectedly collaborates with someone he despises. Moon Woo-jin plays the young version of prosecutor Cha Si-young (played by Lee Hee-jun), adding depth to the character's backstory.
Appearing in a school uniform as young Si-young, he greets the present Tae-joo with a sly, "Hey, nice to see you. So, you became a cop?" leaving a strong impression from his first appearance. The revelation of young Si-young's rough behavior towards Tae-joo in the past adds depth to the character's narrative.
Moon Woo-jin skillfully portrays the hidden coldness of young Si-young beneath his nonchalant demeanor. In the school days scenes, he vividly recalls Tae-joo's memories with a maniacal gaze, intensifying the drama's tension with his sharp emotional portrayal.
Through his solid portrayal of young Si-young's story, Moon Woo-jin convincingly lays the foundation for the emotional trajectory leading to the adult Si-young. Despite his brief appearance, his performance significantly elevates the drama's tension, creating a pivotal turning point in the protagonists' relationship and capturing viewers' attention.
Moon Woo-jin's impeccable acting in 'Scarecrow' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM on ENA, and is also available on KT Genie TV and TVING.
