K-Pop Star Kim Yong-bin Discovers New Talent on 'New Release Pyeonstorang'
On the upcoming October 24th episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release Pyeonstorang', viewers will get a glimpse into the culinary journey of rookie chef Kim Yong-bin. Known for his debut as a child prodigy in trot music, Kim has dedicated 23 years to the genre, culminating in his victory on the trot competition show 'Mr. Trot 3'. Now a household name, Kim's off-stage life, filled with unexpected charm, will be revealed for the first time on 'Pyeonstorang'. Intriguingly, Kim has discovered a new talent outside of trot music, sparking curiosity.
In the episode's VCR segment, Kim returns to his hometown of Daegu. He reminisces while visiting the house he shared with his grandmother and strolling through the neighborhood where he grew up.
Kim then begins cooking with ingredients bought from the local market, attempting to recreate a dish his late grandmother often made. "After appearing as a special MC on 'Pyeonstorang', I wanted to try cooking myself, so I've been practicing diligently," Kim shares. As a novice chef, all eyes are on Kim to see if he can successfully prepare the dish. With meticulous attention to detail, Kim cooks with care, humorously praising himself with "I'm a good cook" after each taste.
Additionally, Kim seeks help from his aunt to verify his grandmother's recipe. His endearing and playful demeanor brings smiles to his aunt's face. However, during their conversation, Kim's aunt repeatedly calls him "son", raising questions. The reason behind this will be unveiled on 'Pyeonstorang'.
