Disney+'s original series 'Goldland' is a survival thriller that follows 'Kim Hee-joo' (played by Park Bo-young), who comes into possession of a 150 billion won gold bar from a smuggling organization. The series delves into a chaotic world of greed and betrayal as Hee-joo fights to keep the gold for herself.
In the midst of this, Kim Sung-cheol takes on the role of 'Woo-gi', a low-level member of a loan shark organization who is the first to realize that Hee-joo has the gold. While he appears to cooperate with Hee-joo, Woo-gi hides his true intentions behind a friendly facade, adding tension to the storyline. His unpredictable choices and ability to adapt to situations are expected to heighten the drama's intensity.
Kim Sung-cheol showcases a new side of his acting with 'Woo-gi', featuring a bleached hairstyle and a rough, edgy demeanor, promising a suspenseful performance distinct from his previous roles. Anticipation is building for his portrayal in 'Goldland'.
Alongside Kim Sung-cheol, the series stars Park Bo-young, Lee Hyun-wook, and Lee Kwang-soo. 'Goldland' will premiere on Disney+ on the 29th, with the first two episodes available, followed by two episodes released every Wednesday, totaling 10 episodes for viewers worldwide.
