The arrival of 'Catfish Man' Jeong Jun-hyeon on 'Heart Signal 5' has caused a major shake-up in the 'Signal House.'
In the second episode of Channel A's 'Heart Signal 5,' which aired on the 21st, the six residents of the 'Signal House'—Park Woo-yeol, Kim Seong-min, Kim Seo-won, Kim Min-joo, Jeong Gyu-ri, and Kang Yu-gyeong—revealed their professions and ages on the second day. Jeong Jun-hyeon, exuding a rugged charm, entered the scene, hinting at a shift in the love lines. Notably, Jeong Gyu-ri, who received zero votes on the first day, received two 'interest texts,' confirming mutual interest with Park Woo-yeol.
On the morning of the second day, Park Woo-yeol and Jeong Gyu-ri enjoyed a brief date during their 'commute carpool,' as promised the day before. Park Woo-yeol handed his phone to Jeong Gyu-ri to set the navigation destination, to which she responded, "What should I do? I have to get off in 6 minutes," expressing her regret. Park Woo-yeol then playfully suggested, "If it's too short, I'll drop you off at the next stop," changing the destination twice, sparking excitement. He further flirted by saying, "I usually enjoy driving. If there's a place you want to go, let's go together," to which Jeong Gyu-ri replied, "Sure, let's go see the sea," promising a trip to the East Sea.
In the evening of the second day, Kim Seo-won and Kim Min-joo, in charge of cooking, prepared a hearty dinner. They diligently followed cooking videos to make soybean paste stew and stir-fried pork, impressing everyone with the high quality of their dishes. After dinner, the residents gathered in the living room to reveal their ages and professions.
Kim Min-joo introduced herself as a "27-year-old working in marketing while preparing to become an announcer." Next, 'Class President' Kim Seong-min surprised everyone by revealing, "I'm 29 and work as a general practitioner at a dermatology clinic." Jeong Gyu-ri, a "29-year-old brand director designing modern hanbok," drew a genuine reaction from Kim Seong-min, who said, "Nice to meet you, friend!" Kim Seo-won, a "25-year-old professional model active in fashion shows, lookbooks, and ad shoots," and 'Popular Guy' Park Woo-yeol, a "25-year-old working at a marketing company," revealed they were the same age.
'All Votes Girl' Kang Yu-gyeong, who swept three votes on the first day, introduced herself as a "23-year-old college student majoring in Korean dance," and cutely apologized to everyone, saying, "I'm sorry!"
After the surprising introductions, the six residents went to a nearby wine bar for dinner. There, Kang Yu-gyeong and Park Woo-yeol, who confirmed mutual interest on the first day, exchanged subtle glances while serving each other food. During this, 'Catfish Man' Jeong Jun-hyeon appeared, capturing everyone's attention with his masculine charm. He briefly introduced himself as a "lawyer born in 1994." Kim Min-joo expressed, "He felt difficult yet comfortable," leaving the door open for possibilities, while Kang Yu-gyeong, intrigued by his profession, continued to glance his way. Park Woo-yeol admitted, "I suddenly had a lot on my mind. It could get dangerous," creating tension.
Later, Kang Yu-gyeong returned from the restroom, and Park Woo-yeol commented, "The scent is really nice," asking about her perfume brand. Kang Yu-gyeong offered her wrist without hesitation, while Jeong Gyu-ri watched with a bittersweet smile. The intense arrival of 'Catfish Man' led the 'Celebrity Prediction Panel' to exclaim, "As expected, a catfish is a catfish!" and "He looks like a 'Tough Guy,' but his personality might have a twist," showing their deep involvement.
After dinner, the residents returned to the 'Signal House' and sent their second-day 'interest texts.' Kim Min-joo sent a text to Kim Seong-min, and Jeong Gyu-ri directly approached Park Woo-yeol, with whom she carpooled. Kang Yu-gyeong, who had a 'fork signal' with Park Woo-yeol, chose him again for the second day. Kim Seo-won, who only had eyes for Kang Yu-gyeong on the first day, made a surprising choice by texting Kim Min-joo, while 'Catfish Man' Jeong Jun-hyeon chose Jeong Gyu-ri, with whom he had a good conversation at the wine bar.
Kim Seong-min sent a text to Kang Yu-gyeong, who mistakenly believed it was from Park Woo-yeol, smiling with excitement. However, Park Woo-yeol's interest was directed towards Jeong Gyu-ri. The 'Celebrity Prediction Panel' was shocked by this revelation. Kim Ina commented, "(Yu-gyeong) thinks she and Woo-yeol have quite a bond now," expressing her sympathy, while Lee Sang-min lamented, "Yu-gyeong should end it here, but she can't because she thinks Woo-yeol sent the text," sighing. Kim Ina concluded, "'Heart Signal' is a place where not everyone can be happy," foreshadowing more complicated love lines ahead.
