Explore the Revival of Bathhouse Culture on MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes'

On Thursday, the 23rd, MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' (hereafter 'Holmes') will take viewers on a journey through the 'Bathhouse Road,' a trend that's resurging among the younger generation.

The episode features the popular trio born in 1986: singer and actor No Min-woo, comedian Kwak Beom, and Joo Woo-jae. The three will explore bathhouses that have regained popularity, especially among Gen Z, and homes of bath enthusiasts to examine the current state of bath culture.

Unique homes with perfect bath spaces will also be revealed. In Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, a mansion equipped with a bathhouse and sauna captures attention. The facilities resemble a public bathhouse but offer privacy, prompting Kim Sook to express envy, saying, "No need to go to a bathhouse." Additionally, a home in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, features a balcony spa space where one can enjoy nature, drawing interest.

The trio visits a home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, dedicated to the art of bathing. Joo Woo-jae describes it as a house where an ENFP might live, raising expectations. Inside, the home boasts an Art Nouveau-inspired interior with gold accents. The bathroom's bold design prompts Kim Sook to exclaim, "Everywhere is a highlight in this house." An unexpected twist in the home adds intrigue, and the appearance of a homeowner resembling popular comedian Lee Soo-ji adds to the fun.

The show also covers bathhouse properties on the market. Seoul's oldest bathhouse, a Seoul Future Heritage site and previously featured on MBC's 'Infinite Challenge,' closed in 2022 and is now for sale, sparking curiosity. In Miryang, a spacious and clean bathhouse property is available, featuring the unique automatic scrubbing machines typical of Gyeongsang region bathhouses.
