YouTuber Yu Gyeol-ip Reveals Boyfriend for the First Time on TV Show

YouTuber Yu Gyeol-ip (real name Yu Yerin) has publicly introduced her boyfriend for the first time.

On the October 21st episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'X's Private Life', Yu Gyeol-ip's boyfriend, Ji Chang-ho, made an appearance and shared various stories.

Yu Gyeol-ip revealed, "He is the owner of the cafe where I work. I've never revealed a boyfriend before. We've been dating for about four months. He is also the older brother of my closest friend." Her boyfriend, Ji Chang-ho, added, "I am both the cafe owner where Gyeol-ip works and her boyfriend."

Ji Chang-ho reminisced, "Since she is my younger sister's friend, I always thought she was pretty. I've had a crush on her for a while. I confessed my feelings first. I was planning to move to Busan, but I stayed because of her. I confessed and asked her not to let me go."

Yu Gyeol-ip responded, "I didn't expect this to happen. Seeing him every day at work was fun, and I started caring for him. We naturally grew closer. I felt I shouldn't let him go. He took care of many things like a mother would," she said with a smile.

They also reminisced about their first date. Yu Gyeol-ip shared, "Our first date was after work. Honestly, we haven't had a proper date since the day he confessed because we've been busy with work. Most of our time together has been spent working at the cafe, which feels like a date in itself."

Yu Gyeol-ip was previously married to fellow YouTuber Choigogi in 2016, and they have a daughter together. They divorced in 2020, and Choigogi currently has custody of their daughter. Regarding this, Ji Chang-ho stated, "I didn't think the divorce or her having a daughter was a big deal. I didn't see it as a problem."

In the studio, Choigogi was asked how he would feel if their daughter called Yu Gyeol-ip's boyfriend 'dad'. He responded, "That's a difficult question. I don't think I would allow it," drawing attention. He also humorously added, "I've met Yu Gyeol-ip's boyfriend before. When we shook hands, his grip was incredibly strong."
